I have a DD V5 and usually only put 193 or 855 through it. I typically stick with 5.56 vs .223. I only shoot brass. I picked up a few boxes of ZQI 5.56 at Wally world the other day being it was the first time I'd seen it so I figured why not check it out. Since there is not much info on the box for specs I looked it up and found its a 62 gr. Pretty clean stuff. It was $13.97/30 rounds so not too expensive. I have yet to try anything higher than a 62 gr but am going to pick up some 72 or 75 gr this weekend and see how the DD likes them.

Long story short I was getting better groups from the ZQI than with Winny 855. Has anyone else seen or shot this stuff and any other opinions? Also should I see a tighter group with the heavier gr?

I like heavier grain loads. They shoot better in a crosswind and for hunting are less likely to deflect off a twig...

If your gun barrel likes it stay with it for better groups...

That sounds expensive! 47 cents every time you pull the trigger! Buy ammo online, you can get good stuff for maybe a little more than half that. SG Ammo, for instance.

Every rifle likes a slightly different ammo, once you find a good grouping ammo for a cheap price stick with it.

Also, buy ammo online, i just bought federal m193 for $0.33 a round with free shipping to my door and no tax.

http://www.targetsportsusa.com/ is where i bought but there are plenty of places online, all have competitive rates and the prices are going down FAST, and those lower prices are just not reflected in stores, they all are wanting to hang onto those gun panic prices.
