I'm interested in picking up another 1000 rounds of cheaper ar ammo to add to the stash.

Wolf Gold $350 vs Wolf Polyformance $300

Which would you buy??

If you want brass cases you buy the Gold. IF you want steel cases you buy the Polyformance!

Wasn't there an issue with that poly shit coming off at high temps and gumming up the bolt?

the reviews on the poly seem to be good.  The gumming I have read on other sites that it was only with the lacquer.  The poly is not supposed to have that issue.

Ahhhh, that's right, I do remember reading that, got the poly and lacquer mixed up.

I don't shoot much of cheap stuff in my ARs, mostly low end brass (PMC) but the Silver Bear I have is surprisingly decent and not too awful dirty.

This is mostly just going to sit on the shelf for a while, maybe use it for plinking down the road.  I figure for the price it might be worth adding some to the stash.

Might as well go cheap and buy more then!  I have some Wolf lying around, it's not bad I just don't like cleaning up after it.

I'm fairly certain that is a myth. The lacquer does not come off of the case. It is the fouling of the chamber due to gas escape and powder residue as steel does not expand to fill the chamber as tightly as brass.

Here ya go
