Just completed my first build. Still deciding on bipod type. I am new to precision shooting (hopefully), and would like your recommendations on ammunition. Rather than buy a bunch of stuff that wont work or work as well, I would like to buy what you guys recommend in 68-77gr. Hopefully, saving a little time and maybe money (doubtful, lol)

Very Nice rifle.

You still need to shoot a few different cartridges. Each barrel likes different bullets and velocities. I think you're on the right track with those weights. The Black Hills with Sierra SMKs are a great place to start. Hornady Match BTHPs, Hornady A-max (might be too long for a mag and might require single loading), Fiocchi has some very nice loads as well. I have had good groups with them all, but the Black Hills seems to be the most consistent. My ARs seem to be more accurate with loads that are a bit slower than higher pressure NATO loads. YMMV.

each barrel if different, you need to try them all unless you handload

Copy that guys. I was just wanting to hear manufacturer recommendation, bullet type, etc...that  you have luck with. I'll get to shopping

You have a few avenues to go down and they start with what is your intention for the rifle.

If it's a paper puncher, target rifle, precision shooting practice device on square ranges then you pick what ever load shoots the best out of the gun. Buy many and have fun.

You can get into hand loading and get a bit more accuracy as well.

If the rifle is intended for hunting or is a SHTF fantasy gun then your street is a bit more narrow. You have maybe 5-10 bullets and the handful of companies that load them, Versus hundreds of different loads for a paper puncher.  You buy the few that are available and then test them, if your lucky your barrel will like one of the loads and you'll be sitting pretty. Lets just hope the next lot number performs as well.

If none of the applicable loads from the manufacturers meet your standards then the only thing left is hand loading.  You'll be able to match fps/jump to the barrel for your pet loads and get as much accuracy as you can.

I'm not going to spoon feed you what bullets or manufacturers to look for as its way more fun to figure out on your own. And the FAQ can get you answers as well.

And as far as bipod the larue-Harris is always the correct answer.
