| Steel cased ammo is not going to wear out your rifle. If it wears the extractor or the barrel faster, the savings pays for these things several times over. If you can find steel cased for $5-6 box, it's an excellent value for just plinking around with. You live in Texas, hit up Academy Sports and look for Monarch branded ammo. Steel cased is in the red and gray box and made by Barnaul in Russia and is about $6/bx, brass cased is in a red and gold box, made by Prvi Partizan in Serbia and is $9/bx. |
