I just got some ammo headstamp LC 55 with the nato cross.
is this corrosive? some are tracers, do you think these will light?

Yup, non-corrosive.
Made in the Lake City Arsenal in 1955.
Lighting up the tracers, as mentioned, will depend upon previous storage conditions.
Should be good to about 800-900 yards out and you may not see much before 100+ down range.

If its 1955 production, it maybe worth something to a collector, since that's well before the adoption of the M14 and M60, and it would have been experimental ammo.

The early stuff was I believe M-59 instead of M-80 ball it may have some collector value.
