Ok, since I'm sure every is facing the same ar ammo shortage everyone else is. Would anyone buy steel case NEW Wolf ammo? I have fired it through my rifle and pistols with no issues, but want to get some opinions on it before I just start buying more . I have heard that it can be hard on your rifle but wouldn't you have to theoretically shoot a lot of it before damage would be done? I have heard of the rim being pulled off, its dirty  etc...so any first hand input would be helpful.

   Thanks and Merry Christmas

I just picked up 200 rounds at our last gun show as cheap as I could order it from AIM Surplus before shipping, for cheap plinking ammo it's fine. I've not had any problems with steel ammo from Wolf, Tula, brown bear, or Monarch (Academy Sports brand).

I have a 5.45x39 AR. All I can shoot is steel case ammo. Wolf, Tula, Silver Bear, Brown Bear. All good to go. Buy it.

shoot the shit out of it. It seems like the higher end ARs have trouble with it, but Ive never had problems and have shot thousands.

Not my first choice, but given the cost of M193 you may not have any option.

I have a S&W,some people consider it a high end and some I've talked to think there junk ,I just consider it reliable. But in this climate of .223/5.56 being hard to find just good to hear some other opinions. Thanks

I have used it in my AK and SKS with no problems at all. The only steel case ammo that I had trouble with in the rifles was some Ukranian white box stuff and then it was only several boxes, the rest was ok.

I've shot thousands of rounds of wolf and I have a few thousand at the house. Yeah it's dirty and underpowered but it's cheap. As far as higher end guns not running it, my BCM eats it up. Same as my 10 year old bushmaster and 6 year old stag. If I had an AR that wouldn't run it it would be sold. Guns are tools and if they don't work they are gone. Btw I'm not scared to krylon a gun. No safe queens here. I run em hard and dirty.
