I was looking at 77 grain sierra match king .223 bullets for reloading. I noticed you have to choose moly coating or no coating. What differences does the coating make towards accuracy? How does either or ANY coating for that matter effect my match stainless barrel? |

I can't attest to the veracity of the assertions which state that moly coated pills cause a build-up in one's barrel....but I have heard that numerous times. Supposedly, the moly deposits make it hard for copper solvents to disolve copper residue in one's barrel. Like I say, I don't know if it's actually true, but it seems plausible enough that I don't shoot moly in my sticks. YMMV |
