Has anybody heard rumor about some of the more recent XM855 being contract rejects for not meeting client spec? Someone I know mentioned he heard that, but he didn't say where. I know there's always a rumor that Fed XM193 and Xm855 are QC rejects, but I trust this guy to be a little more up to speed (he's a small FFL).

Contract over run. Our military is blowing through a lot less M855 than they were a few years ago.

I believe he heard it somewhere. I don't believe what he heard.

Agreed, but that wouldn't explain why "they" would say its a rejected lot unless it was rejected because they don't need it.
*shrug*

All civilian ammo is rejected. There is no surplus US ammo.

Any ammo that is sold to civilians, unless made specifically for civilians, is all government rejected ammo.

That doesn't meant bad, it could just mean that more than the allowed percentage of casings has discoloration, blemishes, etc.

That's what I'm driving at. If some douche says, "That XM crap from Federal is rejects! I ain't using it!" he's right but not in the way he thinks he is.
It hasn't stopped me, or anybody else, from buying it. I've picked up 2 in the last 24 hours.
