Do scratch marks on the bottom of the case(next to the primer, till the end of the case) mean my rifle is overgassed?

These rounds have been chambered and extracted correct?

No, the scratches are from the barrel lugs as the round is extracted and loaded.

or soft brass,
PMC X-Tac has extactor swipes on the headstamp area for me, but the IMI doesnt, so I attribute that to soft brass.

Try other 5.56 or .223 ammo and see what that does

yes this ammo has been chambered, fired, and extracted.  It's actually 308 ammo and it does it on every brand.  I guess i was wondering if this was a problem and whether a heavier buffer would be in order?

Can you post a picture?  If I'm understanding correctly, its part of the round being pushed into the chamber and dragged back over the locking lugs of the barrel.

In a 308 rifle, usually means soft commercial brass, federal mainly, some hornady, depending

So no its not over gassed. If it does this with all surplus, then you might have a problem but we would need to see pics
