Mostly for Ground hogs and small game like that, Foxes etc. Also for target shooting.  I want to build one using PSA's mid length stainless barrel.  ,Realistically about 200-400 yds.

In for knowledge. I've been packing Federal TRU 55gr Sierra Gameking BTHP, but I've not shot anything with one yet. Don't want to waste them on rabbits and the elusive coyote has been, well, elusive...

Didn't put in for deer this year either...

My bad, its 1/8 twist.  Still trying to decide on the 20 in or the 16in.  OVERLOAD! Wow

for groundhogs

any decent match round is fine as long as its accurate

with a 1/8 yuo can use from 40grain to 80 grain

if you are going to shoot deer or bigger then thats a differnt story

if you are going to  e takign up to 400 yard shots you  will likely get the best with 77 grain match or handloads or even 69s

I use my Knight KP1 .223 for the same thing. I reload my own ammo but I just use a plain 55 grain Hornady soft point. Works great and it is very accurate. This looks like the factory loading for those bullets - http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct/default.aspx?productNumber=366197

This ammo is a much better value though if you are wanting to use factory - http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct/default.aspx?productNumber=312291

Hornady 53 gr V-Max Superformance.

For larger game try anything loaded with Barnes TSX or TTSX bullets.  If you got a 1/8 the 70 grainer is about perfect

The Black Hills V-Max loads are extremely accurate as well.
