The reviews aren't bad, pricing is quite reasonable..

Yep. Ran fine for me. Seemed a little dirty, but that could be my imagination.

I asked in a thread yesterday about it. The reviews are all over the place from FTF and FTE all the time to no problems.. I was going to get a case, and then found out they will not ship to my state.

Makin it hot..... American Tactical 62gr M855 Clone

Review throughout multiple sites I've been to have been positive, I have a few thousand rounds myself but have only shot maybe 150 rounds of the stuff..... no issue.  It better be good stuff, I have over 60 pmags filled with the stuff :)

Yeah but is it better than wolf?  I've read a ton of review saying anything from "great range ammo" to "this would be my combat load for sure"..  I don't want to invest the $450 for 1000 rounds of hornandy tap, I just want some good range ammo that can be used for other purposes at the moment..

What's "5.56x45mm Remington?"  No such animal.  That makes me wonder about the vendor.  A lot.  They got it right at the top of the page, so why bork it up a tiny bit farther down?

Aside from reports here, I know little about the brand-ATI.  I do know that at least the boxes are marked "5.56X45mm," which is both the military and European designation.

One other gripe: it's NOT a "penetrator."  It's an "insert."  But so many people screw this one up that I'm just pointing it out from habit.

It was OK. Accuracy acceptable. It seemed to flatten out when hitting steel plate, looked like a "keyhole" on paper.
I have never witnessed a keyhole on paper though.

Only bad thing: there is something in the powder mix that leaves pockmarks on the brass. Something is being
left in the chamber that is course enough to stipple brass.

I got rid of my stuff and bought components for that reason.

I've run some of it. I didn't have any issues with it.

I actually bought a decent bit of this to do a proper range test, the gun shop by me just got some in. The accuracy really surprised me, I was really expecting RG SS109 accuracy(I had a bunch of that also, not only was it really low pressure, the best I could do with it was manage to hit a 8" plate @ 100yds) I'd say it's cleaner than wolf black box. And the lot I had shot WAY better @ 100 yards than the Federal XM193 I had with me also (shot about 200 rounds of the XM193)

From a 16" 1:9 chrome lined YHM barrel and a 6x NC star scope, off of a ALICE pack. I kept about a 2" group @ 100 in ten shot strings, with a few of em'  touching in the center I think I'm gonna buy some when my tax rebate in deposited. It ran good with no funky primer problems, the only gripe I had was it smelled a little....ripe? I guess, kinda like burnt cosmoline. Like my 98K does when she heats up. Smelled a little more musty than wolf BB, only less dirty

Buy some...shoot it all up then reload the brass
