I've always just bought my ammo at whatever sporting goods store is on the way to my hunting location (walmart, academy) and have usually bough remington or wolf, either or.

The other day for the first time I saw Federal XM193F (also says M193 Ball) online for about $5 per 20 round box.  I remembered seeing a lot of talk about XM193 on the boards here so I ordered 100 rounds for about $25.

Is this an okay deal?  Is this round alright for merely shooting around the ranch, plinking, various varmints while spotlighting, and occasionally hogs?

Already have it so not sending it back, just getting opinions...thanks

It's great for plinking.  Probably fine for hogs too.  For varmints, you'll want a bit more accuracy and faster, more reliable fragmentation.  Check out the Ammo Price Lists thread to see if you got a good price.

Great, kinda what I figured as I've never been picky with my ammo and have never had any issues with what I've bought, just wanted to clarify...thanks

Was it $5.00 flat or like $5.69 or something?
