It's XM855. Please read the "Ammunition Review and Reference" thread tacked at the top of the page.

Have not seen anything on it. Is it a factory box like the AE Tactical boxes that have 200 rds or is it a plastic bag?
The bulk packaged ‘PD’ rounds rate a lot lower.

It is loose in a box(plastic baggie),green tipped, all rounds look decent!!
Have not been able to shoot any as yet,but I don't forsee any problems in doing so..

I had not seen or read of this packaging before, hence the question?

Federal is throwing out so many packaging variants that keeping up with the letter salad that follows XM855 is almost impossible...

Anyone have an idea why they are doing this with the 193 and 855?

I'd think they'd be able to save a lot of money by putting it all in the same plain box with different lettering.

Early on, there was only XM855 and XM193.

At some point in time, there were XM855PD and XM193PD. QC on those ranged from 'just fine' to 'atrocious'. One member found a pretzel stick in a round that didn't fire which he pulled apart. Those variants disappeared, and then more popped up. If I were cynical, I'd say that Federal is trying to make it hard to determine which ammo is of good quality and which is crap by coming up with so many model numbers that it's impossible to keep track of.

I must be cynical, because I think you are exactly right. Federal is claiming it’s all the same ammo just packaging variations. It’s becoming obvious that this is just lawyer speak, truth (within a limited sense) but not the whole truth.
