If I am correct, IMI M193 and Winchester Q3131A is the same stuff? And from what I can gather when it comes to M193 and M855, the 55 grainer is the preferred choice for defense, why is that? And on the flip side; when it comes to Russian stuff why is 62 grain preferred over 55?

And on the flip side; when it comes to Russian stuff why is 62 grain preferred over 55? I'm not all that sure about if IMI and Q3131A are the same but I have read that somewhere in a tacky here. I have read M193 does better balistically than M855 at closer range. The M855 is soppose to be better at longer ranges, designed to pierce some type of body armor at like 400 yards or something like that. What people prefer is just up to them, thier type of shooting style, and thier rifle. The 62 grain is prob prefered because most people use the 1/7 twist and the 62grainers are more accurate in them. I own a 1/9 twist and I prefer 55 grain even though it shoots the 62 grain just as good. That and m193 seems to be cheaper than m855, so I prefer that. Trust me I'd buy M855 too if it was cheaper than m193. |
