Hello folks just aquired a DCM XR Bushmaster and I looking for some loads that tend to perform well it in. I would prefer to learn of some 75-80 grain bullet weight loads but I'll be more than happy wIth any new data. I have been reloading for several years but all have been for bolt weapons. I also have used the "ladder test" to find out what the barrel likes in other weapons but I no longer have access to 200 or 300 yrd ranges. Thanks for he help!

1:7 or 1:9 barrel? If it's 1:9 you'll most likely top out at 69gr bullets.

From what I've heard, 80gr will probably require single loading as the OAL is too long for normal mags.

What twist rate?? My 1-9 Armalite likes the 62gr fusion and shoots the 69gr Sierra Match king well also.

If it is 1-7 the 75gr Sierra OTM is nice also. You can buy them from your local supplier or Black Hills makes both.
