Is this stuff worth $20 a box? What's so special about it? Is it the best home defense ammo? I have never shot it but may consider buying some. I load most of my own ammo so I am not really sure if I need it.

They ceased making the black ones...seems they WERE causing problems...

Now, encased in SS the TAP is back with the best branding of any .223 you can buy. Why shouldn't you feel better about your safety when you're armed with the Coca Cola of ammo? It's the ammo equal to Starbucks! Neiman Marcus is going to have it in the 2009 Christmas Catalog, you watch.

SS?  As in Stainless steel?

The practice rounds are the ones that have the steel cases...and they aren't stainless.

Changed from the black to silver because the black ammo was hard to see in the chamber.  No other difference, still nickle plated.
