So how do you load your stripper clips?
I'm currently loading 2K of Federal LC into clips and have tried by hand, Maglula loader and lining them up and sliding the clip along the back. The slide method seems to work the best so far. LMK |

Are you asking how to load the stripper clips, or how to unload them (Into the Magazine)?
As for loading the strippers, I just do it by hand, one at a time. As for unloading them, I use a StripLULA. There is NO better way to unload them. -Masta |

By hand. When loading magazines, I use the old fashioned USGI spoon. Never understood why people act like it's hard or painful to do that way. umm, Because the USGI spoon SUCKS! Especially when you are using used strippers where the rounds are loose and rock back and forth in the stripper.. The StripLULA is the ONLY way to go. It supports the rounds on the side, and they glide right into the magazine.. -Masta |
| Well, I have to agree with the striplula method for loading magazines. It just works faster. I tried the sliding method but some of the stripper clips would not comply. Also I want to reuse the cardboard for storage in the bandoleers. I ended up using the striplula as a holder for the clip and slid by hand the entire 2K of LC XM193. There is a very good thread on here about how to load an ammo can with bandoleers. |

i'm not sure how federal packs it, but with wolf, i leave them in the box, take out one from each row at the end, tear the corners of the box down a bit, then slide the clip over the rims. I take the foam/cardboard package (depending on the manufacturer) out of the box and slide the clip onto the two at the end, then the next two, and so on. One box = two clips loaded in less time than it took to read this post. I've seen how badly people can bugger up strippers. Even with new clips you have to apply pressure in the right spot or the rims will dig into the clip and just grind to a halt. While I'm not dependent on it, I like my StripLULA because it always applies the pressure in the right spot and you can use your whole hand to push the rounds in, not just your thumb. |

I guess we are the only two that have no problems with USGI clips and spoons. One of these days maybe I will get me one of them there StripLULAs just to see what the big hoo haa is all about. |

It's almost that fast, but speed without clips depends on how fast you can get the rounds into the device in the proper alignment. It is MUCH faster than loading a magazine one round at a time, but you have to get a good rhythm going to load with loose rounds no matter what.
