| Any one have experience with this ammo. I understand it to be Military Contract 55 gr and am thinking about buying some. Please help. |

It's great ammo. It shoots well, is very clean, and is new production. I bought 3k of it and have only shot 500 of it, but it has been flawless. I'm saving it, as it is my newest production ammo and I have lots of 30 year old surplus stuff to blast through. Buy with confidence ... I'm assuming it's a third party sale because I haven't seen any on AIM in ages, unless some other site sells it.
edit: heres the review of it http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=2&f=217&t=158383 |

www.ammunitiontogo.com It's great stuff... high quality, new manufacture, M193-spec. Actually most reports have stated that this is NOT M193 spec, the velocity is too low. Read the second post in this thread: http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=2&f=217&t=158383 Also see this thread where people report velocities that are closer to .223 than 5.56: http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=16&t=389256 |

It doesn't claim to be 5.56. Quoted:
What's the make of the brass for the 223 Centurion? What's the headstamp on the brass? Early batches were winchester, mine is stamped "M193 O8" |

The velocity is low in the reviews, but the chrono is only slightly slower than 5.56. I like it for range/plinking ammo, and because there haven't been any missfires/culls/damaged rounds. It's relatively inexpensive and brand new, and it's not Wolf. |
