I ordered a can and am going to see how it works.
My grampa and I are going to the store next week so he can buy a carbine, and will pick up more of it if I like it.

this is a pretty good deal and the CMP says they have lots and lots of it.

It's funny how stuff just pops up like this in gummint storage. I wonder if they found it in the big warehouse next to the Arc of The Covenent or something.

I was excited when i saw it also, until I saw the price.  I think that the price they have it at is too high for loose LC with mixed years.  Besides, anyone look at the shipping?  It's cheaper to have the Greek shipped then the LC.  what's up with that?

More rounds plus ammo can equal more weight equals higher shipping cost. Personally I would rather shoot Greek HXP than the Lake City in a Garand. If in a bolt gun I would go with LC as some have reported problems with HXP not wanting to eject in their 1903 rifles

"Oh!  So THAT'S what's in that warehouse!  I thought it was Civil Defense potty cans!  Who knew!"  I'll bet it's more some units somewhere finally got off the pot and cleaned out some old storage and then (because they didn't have anything to fire it in) turned in all that LC ammo.  It's amazing how stuff just sort of falls off of an inventory now and then.  IG inspection time...  Unit reconstitution time...  Whatever.   I seriously think this is what happened, but in relatively small increments until DCM actually had enough to start offering it for sale.  I'll be waiting to order until someone reports how ugly or pretty the stuff is.

Well, the M2 Ball being available is nice, BUT...

The best news I got out of that listing is that Mossberg M44 .22LR rifles are available again. Truly great .22 training rifles. I'm gonna hafta get one...
