What do y'all normally do with rounds that show damage and you aren't comfortable firing them? Just throw them away?

I'm thinking like major dents or gouges from a misfeed...

Disassemble the round by pulling the bullet and dumping the powder.  Deactivate the primer by applying some type of penetrating oil inside the case, or simply chamber and fire the empty primed case.

If you are into hand-loading, salvaging the bullet and powder might be useful to you.

Sometimes I leave them on the range, (e.g. I'll throw a mangled .22LR downrange) Sometimes I throw them in my range bag and then end up in my desk drawer. I have a tons of random ammo in my desk drawer, some for guns I don't have.
It doesn't happen that often to me, but I have also, in the past, pulled down the ammo and thrown out the bad components.

If ya reload get a puller and pull it and keep the components. If not grab some vice grips pull it dump the powder in your yard and pop off the primer in your rifle.
