| what kind of accuracy do you guys get with wolf. today with a cheap scope i was getting 3-4" groups at 175 yards. with my dpms 24" ss barrel. I know i need a new trigger because this one was very tuff to pull. |

I bought a case of 62 GR a few years ago and was happy with the accuracy at 100 yards. My groups were under 2" at 100 yards with a good rest and scoped rifle. I bought a couple more cases but have not shot them. I can't say anything about what is being sold now. I feel I have a stock of decent plinking ammo but won't be able say until it's been fired. |

The 62gr HP has been the most accurate Wolf load out of my Arsenal Sam5 (1/7 twist) with 100 yd groups from a rest, w/optics easily coming in at 2" with an occasional flier. The 62gr FMJ was about 3" and some. The 55gr loads were laughable. I am referring to the all copper jacket bullet which hasn't been produced for a couple of years. When they changed production to the bi-metal jacket, my group size went to 6" or better with both 62gr HP and FMJ . I used their refund policy on that shit. Thankfully I have enough of the copper stuff for a while. If you ask me what Wolf can do to improve the accuracy of their 223 round, I'd say........ "GO BACK TO THE ALL COPPER JACKET!!!" They are saying "bi-metal is keeping the cost down" and I say "at the expense of noticeable accuracy" which makes the cartridge unusable for me. |
With my Mid-Length carbine and my wife's M4gery, Wolf (Russian Steel Case) ammo is more then "minute of felon". Good, less expensive (no longer cheap... I don't shoot Wolf (Russian Steel Case) ammo out of my CMP AR. |
