I stopped by the Oshman's (I guess it is "Sport's Authority" now) near my office during lunch. They are having a 15% off sale right now on all Winchester ammunition. They had quite a bit of Q3131. It is normally $9.99 a box, but on sale it was $8.49. I know that is still pretty steep, but I haven't seen true Q3131 around for a while, and I thought the price wasn't that bad. I know what you mean... but seeing it yesterday at Gander Mountain for $14.99 a box of 20  , I picked up ONE box.I want to run it over my chrono in several of my AR to compare the velocity to my handloads... (or at least that is the story I'm sticking with) - AG |

Was in a Wally today looking for VP's (None) and the guy who I usually talk to and not a knowitall or bullshitter said he has had no vp in months and all his Remington went up an average of a dollar a box or more.Said has had about twenty paks (Ten Cases) of the Federal VP's on order since early October and sells out whatever he gets in a few days to guys who stop by evey single week or more often even. Said from the reps and system folks he has contact with think the supply has dried up from Federal for the foreeable future with no real reason given.He was busy today putting all his shotgun ammo all up by at least 25% or more,all brands. |
