Didn't see this in the ammo review, probably too old/unavailable.  But I have a couple hundred rounds of Samson (IMI) 55 gr. in 20 round blue & white boxes.  Tail of the box is marked " .223 REM. F.M.J.--B.T."

The headstamp is "TZZ 90".  Brass cased.  I tend to burn about a hundred rounds a month, and presume this is nothing special worth saving.  Correct?

Well I'd call it top tier ammo not second.

I shot some courtesy of uncle sam, well not in the samson boxes anyway, it's IMI in commercial boxes.  I don't think IMI markets the label anymore.

Israel Military Industries is good stuff.  If it was UMC or Samson I'd save the Samson.

BTW their 7.62mm soft point match was nice stuff, I miss it.

Thanks Steel.  Only thing is, the box says .223.  So I figure it's loaded to those specs & not 5.56mm, not quite as hot.

I agree 100% with steelonsteel, top tier ammo, I would also burn Remington UMC or something else before any Samson or IMI. Sure would like to run across some old stock of Samson sometime.......

It's good stuff and maybe worth holding onto and saving.

Thanks a bunch guys.  I don't know how it was stored previous to me acquiring it, but might have to hang onto it anyway.
