Hey Guys, I am planning on being involved in a Utube video. I have the black gun, I just need a source for .223 blanks. I've tried the usual places without any luck. Do you guys know anybody who has them in stock? Also, I need the noise and flash for the video. Can I fire the blanks without an adapter? Will firing a lot (semiauto) of blanks harm the rifle, magazines or other components? |

if you get a "hollywood" BFA you need the correct one. there are two types, the hollywood "hot" type and the USGI type. The hole on the hot type is much larger to allow for more gas/flash to escape. if you use the hot type with GI blanks it will not cycle. if you use the GI type with hot blanks you can hurt your self. here is a pic of different BFAs. the hollywood type is in the lower right corner, I have used this with hot blanks and it works great.  link for swanson hot blanks - he also sells the BFA www.joeswansonsmotionpictureblanks.com/ |
