I am new to buying ammo. I am looking for something that is inexpensive and relatively decent.

I have seen wolf and silver bear talked about. Are there any other brands of ammo that are around these prices? Whats the best ammo in this price range?

And that's what I don't get.  I've ran it all day in SKS' and AKs works fine.  Put it in an AR, and it's the nastiest shit ever.

And my AK and SKSs will also wolf down the Wolf, but they don't seem to like brass ammo.

That was your first time using Wolf in an AR? Damn. I had thought about trying it but now I think I'll look into reloading.

And then there are many, many shooters that shoot thousands of rounds of Wolf and have no problems.

We've put over 5k of .223 Wolf down range this year with no issues.

I like to shoot Mk 262, but even with the company buying it we can't get enough to train.

62 gr. .223 Wolf is as accurate as Radway Green or LC M885 in our 11.5" SBRs.

Wolf is fine.  So you clean a bit more. And it only takes me about 30 minutes to clean an AR after 3-400 rounds of .223 Wolf.

Break your AR in, then shoot Wolf.  Or, spend way more on ammunition and shoot far less.

If your rifle doesn't work with factory ammunition (which Wolf is) or only with Gucci ammo, then you have rifle issues.

First time EVER.  I've put thousands upon thousands of rounds through it in Com Bloc guns.  No issues.

Seen it used three time in western guns.  A USP .45, a Mini 14 and My M4

We can throw the Mini out initially because of their issues, to iffy to blame it on the Ammo when it coulda been the gun.  The USP just wouldn't cycle reliably, it'd eject all the rounds only feed about 3/5.  With my M4, and it's a good one, Mega upper and lower, DPMS LPK, Bushy barrel, and RRA EBCG,  ran great with it until the 165th round.  FTE.  I beat on the case forever with a brass cleaning rod to get it out.  Then I was literally SCRAPING hard caked piles of black nasty shit off the back of the bolt, and used a TON of CLP to dissolve it out of everything else.  It'll never touch a Non Commie gun of mine again.

I know it works for some people. I'm sure there are one or two Hessies or Vulcans that have been pretty reliable also.
