Are they going to continue to sell to the cops and all the departments that in the last few years went to a full paramiltary type police department/swat type of enforcement, marine shaved heads ect with lots of ammo usage for training and whacking people? I think that is where the ammo must be going and homeland security is probably now in the billions of rounds also in their stash and like users on the board here will rarely ever touch off a round. They cannot keep the mexes out of the US or stop them along with potential terrorists so who do they plan on shooting with the munitions they have??????? Good thing we have stashed away as much as we can afford. Government does buy grain, tobacco and fruit harvests to prop up wealthy farmers so the idea they may buy up uneeded ammo capacity may not be that farfetched. |

Sounds like BS to me. If Federal and Remington went that route, then more and more ammo companies would pop up to take their place. You stil have Corbon, Black Hills, Imports, etc. I highly doubt there will be that much demand from DHS and the federal government for ammo. Remember when a few gun manufacturers stopped selling to civilians? More and more companies sprung up and gladly accepted our cash to fill the void. As long as there is brass, powder, lead, primers, and copper available, there will be plenty of bullets for everyone. Once that all runs out, bring on the laser guns.. :) |
I think federal only produces about 1.3 billion rounds a year, so how could they supply DHS with 1 billion without short suppling the other branches of the military? Remington & Winchester are big enough that they will expand before only selling to the military. just my guess. |
| So we will not be able to get Winchester or Remignton rounds either? So pretty much all practice ammo will be gone for every caliber that people normaly buy like Winchester White Box or Remignton 100rd packs of shotgun shells for skeet.....sounds far fetched unless its only for .223/5.56 caliber. I can only see this happening if they are trying to supply the war and don't want to have to make ammo for that and civillians. |
Done... I also included the deed to my house and my checkbook, just in case. |
But, if you contact the regional hyper-vice-president at 1 800 ordermethis and get him to order ultrabright +1000 you MAY get some in about 8 weeks at the only double normal retail. Or call Hillary and beg (read: donate thousands to the elect a liberal to office fund) you might get a congressional exception. Then again...maybe not Mark |
