Was set up at the Indy 1500 show sellin some blades. Guy set up next to me set out an ammop can with what looked (from 15ft away) to be some 308 suplrus, then added what looked like a 1/2 ja,,ed full battlepack of loose younds, and a couple small boxes (20-25 rd size) of some ammo. Bein the curious type that I am, went over and investigated. Looked into the bag, and it was a hodgepodge of 7.62x39 (61 over 13), Cavim 308, and Blazer 45 (Aluminum cased). Checked the ammo can, mix of boxed Port, Cavim, Santa Barbara, and a couple others. 24 boxes, 480 rounds total. The small boxes were one each of .45ACP Corbon and HydraShocks, both full. Me "How much" Him "Which one?" Me "All of it" Him "Mmm, how about 20 bucks?" Me "For all of it?" Him "Sure, I traded a large bag of dog food for it, and I'd liek to break even." Me (not asking again) "Cool" Paid him, and came back to my table and sat down, rushin my tail off. SCORE!!! |

Made it up, had a good time. What can be better than spending the afternoon at a Gun Show with a friend? The show was very small, though. Pretty much like a Goodman's in Dayton. The Indy 1500 that I remember was huge in comparison. It would be in two rooms, and take all day just to see it all. I used to tell people all the time that it was well worth the drive from Cincy, now, not so much. I did get one of those Mosin fake snipers at a decent price. Kinda cool. Can't leave a gun show without at least one new gun, right? ETA: oops, this was actually meant as a reply to your Hometown Forum post |
