| I had a case of Wolf 223 on order since January 29th. They kept sending me emails asking if I wanted to keep the order on backorder. Each time they extended the backorder date and each time I emailed or called and said to keep the order on backorder. They told me in June the order would ship on August 2nd. I called on August 3rd and they said the order had been cancelled and I could reorder at there current price which was also on backorder. You really have to work hard to provide this lousy or lack of Customer Service. |
Don't say it's so. |
I hate to say it but ever since I re-rewed the membership and starting checking that stupid $0.99 "package protection" box.....my SG lottery results have significantly improved I dunno - SG sucks to be sure but if it wasnt for the 4 pay plan I would have a heck of a lot less ammo

Knock on wood... I haven't had any issues yet with them after my first 10.5 months with them. I second the comment on the 4-month plan and also wondered about that $0.99 deal (I have had a few guys swear that that is what has kept the good deals going - so I let them have the $0.99 to keep my ammo coming in). That does suck about the 62gr deal; sorry that fell through on you. I never deal with backorders (not just with SG but anyone), just so that I don't get snagged like that. |

Yep! I didnt trust SG or anyone infact with B/O's so I went nuts buying tons of .223 500Rnd Wolf spam cans @ $90 (member price) and $10 flat shipping ($10 off cupon). Now they are $115 which compared to $125 to $155 isnt still bad. So instead of waiting all that time I took advantage of whats available replenished my stash containing pre Y2k ammowhich I just shot replacing it all with fresh ammo I also stocked up last week on $7.99 box LC SS109 from CTD and $6.47 box 55gr UMC from Wally. Life has changed since 9/11 so has the price of ammo and just imagine another attack . Can the ammo market take it? Can we afford not to stock up on this not so cheap ammo vs no ammo at all?? I have no love for SG... but, they will cancel a back order if they don't get notice to keep it on backorder something like every 21-30 days. If the last time you spoke to them was in June and then called in August... your backorder got cancelled simply by thier standard backorder policy. |
After 4-6 months the backorders are not available to view through the order status section of the website. But it is still on backorder if you e-mail customer service and ask. |

| Just had some backordered ammo extended from 8/6/07 -> 12/31/07. It was Federal so the above comment may apply. It takes me 20 seconds every 3 weeks to email them to extend the backorder and that has always kept the backorder active and I've always eventually gotten it. |
You mean to tell me that SG didn't rape your horse and kill your women?!?!?! ![]() I've never had a major problem with SG, a few orders ago I called and made sure that they had 3K of Wolf in stock, they did and my card was charged, however I never got an email from them saying that my order had shipped. Ended up that 3K of Wolf got lost somewhere and that was their last 3K, they refunded me my card and 2 weeks later shipped me 3K and waived the shipping cost. |
They told me the same thing, credit card number was changed, but the last email I got from them says:
