| Is 6.00 a box a decent price for this stuff? I have a chance to buy some and just wanted to make sure. |
That's a decent price these days. I paid $5\a box last year when the prices started to rise. Now, if I can find xm193, it's like $7-8 a box. |
It looks like the poster edited his post and you have to submit something, so if you want to erase your post, you can just type in a period. It is also used for reserving a spot for posting later. Sometimes it is used as a "tag" which is meaningless if you are not a team member. As to the price, in todays market it is a good deal, especially if you consider availability (or lack thereof). It doesn't group 55 gr worth a darn. AE, UMC, XM193 '06. The only 55gr ammo it groups within 2 1/2" is S&B green/yellow box. XM855, IMI are nuts on 2" . Radway came in at 3". All of this is 10 round groups from a RRA Entry Tactical with a Burris 2-7x35 Fullfield Tactical scope. I don't think it's me. I've tried numerous times and I get the same results. Three to 4 inch spread. Any ideas? BTW, Prvi PPU 75 gr match ammo gave me a 1.875" 10 round group. RRA Entry Tactical 1:9 twist, chrome lined, gov't profile. 62gr or better seems to work the best. Am I unreasonable expecting less than 3" groups from XM193? BTW all this is 100 yards. |
It's FMJ and it's running near maximum safe fps. Both of which are not inherently good accuracy factors. M193 seems to work best for me in 1/12 twist 20" barrels which it was originally designed for. 3-4 MOA is within spec for it. |
