In ammunition advertised has having a bi-metal bullet, such as Brown Bear, is the portion of the bullet that contacts the barrel copper or steel?

The copper or brass part of the jacket is incredibly thin, but it does (pretty much) remain between the barrel and the steel jacket material. But the steel jacket is so soft, it may as well be brass as far as the barrel cares. Yes, it's that soft.
