OK, I am still waiting for my order of ammo cans, till then I am curious, How many rounds/boxed fit in .50 cal cans. I am thinking of leaving the amma in the original boxes, so with that in mind, how many boxes are people fitting of wolf, win 855, fed xm193, etc. I know the boxes are all different sizes, but is there any tricks to fitting the most into the cans. Layout ideas without trying every combination would be greatly appreciated. |

Different boxes pack differently. The US-made WWB boxes are different from the Israeli-made WWB boxes, and they obviously fit in cans differently. The stuff on bandos also (I think) had how different WWB boxes pack as well... Forgot to add that putting your rounds on strippers makes them much more "available" than just in boxes-and only one of those WWB boxes accommodates strippers... I just checked, and the posted bandoleer thread doesn't mention the boxes... There used to be a big old thread with how a lot of different boxes and cans worked for max density. Zhukov, do you know the thread I'm talking about? |
