I decided to stroll thru our local FleaBag Market on Saturday after work and what did my eyes spy

? Good God Almighty, 3 boxes of Q3131 sitting among a pile of junk!

Trying to keep my blood pressure in check and not wanting to give away the location of my new found mini-treasure, I calmly, innocently, oh-so-slowly walked up to the little white boxes of gold and at the last possible instant threw my body down on top of them as if they were a live grenade all the while muttering Mine, Mine, ALL Mine!! (insert evil laugh here

).

After I dusted myself off I paid the FleaBag his marked price of $4.50 per box and happily went home to drink a cold beer and admire my 60 new found friends.

Ahhhhhhh....It's the small things in life worth living for!

I was at a gun show last year and some old timer had a table with a bunch of mid '80s Q3131 that he had marked at $3.50 a box. I took all he had and tried not to act to excited about it. I think I ended up with about 10 boxes...

It is truely sad, when someone like me, with over 7K in M855 and other rounds, would get excited with a find like that, but I would be thrilled.

Now I will have to stop by our local flea market so see if I can score!

It makes me want to cry, knowing that just a few years ago that price made me say "I'll sell the damn rifle before I pay that much for a box of FMJ!"
