How long is LC going to make M193?  From what I read I believe the Army didn't  budget $$ for M193 last year.  I am not even sure if any Guard units train with M16A1s.  I would imagine the ammo is destined to become extinct.  I have a 1 in 12 twist  A1 that I need the 55 gr for but for all my other ARs the M855 is fine.  I would guess that it's being bought up because it probably will not be around much longer.  Just my thoughts.

Its been said by members here that some units from the Air Force still use A1's.

Yeah, a friend of mine in USAFResv on deployment in Taji told me they were issued A1's and Ruger (?) 9mm.

I hardly ever walk into a gun store anymore.  I buy everything online.  Firearms, ammo, accessories etc.

The older slower twists are one of reasons I picked up so much of the Guat when it was available. I can see XM193 becoming a "short run" ammo for PDs and such if the Mil goes completely away from M193. I don't think they make anywhere the amount of it they used to, they probably dedicated the vast majority of the machinery to M855 as thats where the demand is from the Mil.

.223 spec stuff will continue to be made in 40-55 grain weights for a long time, no problem there, what the price is tho is anyones guess.
