Even before the price of ammo went crazy, I was buying XM855PD.  For target shooting I did not see a need to spend extra money on M855 or other 223/5.56 ammo.  After purchasing almost 10K rounds of XM855PD I have never had a problem.  In addition, I have yet to find a bad round.  Now with ammo prices going through the roof XM855PD is a good deal (if you can find it) compared to the ostuff available.  As an added bonus my Colt M4 with a 1/7 twist loves XM855PD.  I really do not understand why people complain about XM855PD.  Who cares if the brass is not new and shinny.

Ive had Better accuracy in all my AR`s with S&B ss109 and Santa Barbra SS109

there is a Dr at my range who buys the PD stuff all the time without issues

After shooting Blue box 77 and MK262 out of my Defender 2000 M4  14.5 1/7 twist
I find myself wanting even more

I have a bunch of it, it always goes bang, but it doesn't always go in the same place.
Reliable but not overly accurate. Not my favorite. I prefer the 193, or a host of others.
It definitely doesn't suck.

Good Luck

It was great at the old prices.  I bought 2K rounds in August for around $400.  Wish I would have bought more :(  It isn't the prettiest ammo but it shoots fine in my ARs with good accuracy for what it's intended for.  If I want more accuracy I choose ammo designed for that purpose.

i bought 1k and inspected it only four or five rounds were bad two had bullets that could be pushed back into the case and the others had massive dents beside that I just put them on strippers and plan to shoot some next weekend

Which is exactly why I don't shoot it.
I find Radway Green a LOT more accurate and it funstions fine in my 6 AR's, from 16" to 24".
I use the RG for plinking as it shoot great in my 20" V-Match. I put 60 rounds into 2.25" at 100 yards, not too bad.

I shoot a good bit of Black Hills 68's and 75's in Service Rifle and the Federal 50 gr JHP in the Bushy Varminter. The RG is also my IPSC 3-Gun load.

Good Luck

I may have to switch to PD after my supply of this stuff runs out
but as long as I have a source for it at $210.00 per 960 rounds
I'll keep stocking up

TZZ is Israeli Military Industries ( IMI ) headstamp .

And the source is from a private sale that had two cases of 1920 rounds each
and " May " have three more cases .

Now I may be am an ammo whore , but you guys know if I had
a steady supply of this stuff , I'd share it with you

That was taken straight out of a sealed case of XMPD, the bullet was seated inverted.

I use XM855PD ammunition extensively in my LMT MRP, LWRC, and HK 416 Upper receivers (all with a 14.5 inch barrel).  I buy all of my XM855PD from AmmoMan.Com whenever he has it in stock.

I like the XM855PD because it is military grade loaded to military specifications; all meaning it has extra sip and bark (velocity).

I know there are some on this thread that have experienced some bad cartridges; but in the thousands of rounds I have purchased and shot, never a problem.

In my experience, the XM855PD is great ammunition is great ammunition and I buy and use it whenever I can.

I have had good luck with the XM855PD.  I am very glad I loaded up when it was cheap a year or so ago.
