Your Colt isn't any different that any other AR.

Cheap ammo = blasting ammo = usually not too accurate
Accurate ammo = expensive ammo.

Beyond that, buy a few boxes of different kinds of ammo and find out what your rifle likes. That advice holds from a 7.5" pistol to a 24" varmint rig.

I have a LMT DEFENDER 2000M4  14.5   1/7 twist and others

I shoot Black Hills Blue Box 75gr and 77gr  and MK262 HOT AND accurate as hell

I try to shoot a box every time at the range

If you like ragged holes I find the BH 77gr and MK262 a BIT BETTER than the 75gr

I also shoot aloot of M193 and M855/SS109

I never buy PD stuff BUT seen guys at the range with no issues



Buy just 1 box of BLACK HILLS 77gr
SHOULD be 1 of the most accurate round out there
