What is the cheapest reliable plinking ammo (both 55 & 62 gr.) and who has it? I've got my Q3131 stash and I want to pickup some cheap blastin ammo. The Ammo Oracle and the Ammo Price List tend to pertain to SHTF ammo rather than plinking ammo. My guess is Wolf polymer is cheapest @ $200/1000, but is it worth a damn? (Yes, I'm digging into the review thread right now.) On that note, I have like 200 rds. of Oylmpic 62gr. green tip on hand. Should I really just toss it rather than to subject my rifle / face to it?

Get some Wolf, try it in your rifle.  If it likes it then as things are today it will be your best bet for general blasting ammo.  I have had no problems with it.  Enjoy.  Don't know about the Oly.

the words cheap and .223/5.56 don't go together right now

but your cheapest decent plinking ammo is Wolf which you can get between $3-$4 a box

if your going to toss the olympic and I'll pay ya shipping and a few extra bucks for it

Hard to beat Wolf for cheap (well, not anymore) blasting ammo.

+1..everything else is at least $6.50 per box now. I don't think we'll ever see cheap ammo again.

...alright, so who's has Wolf on the cheap now? Is it harder on the extractor? Is this polymer stuff typically underpowered still or is it on par with standard .223?
