[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Armscor .223

Anyone have any experience with this ammo? I found some at my local range for $5.00 per box of 20. I've checked the tacked threads but didn't see anything about this brand.

All I can tell you about it is that it's made in the Phillipines. I have never used any of it before. I am sure others here have and can offer further opinions.

I have shot a fair amount of Armscor ammo in several calibers (including .223) and have never had an issue with it. It seemed a bit on the dirty side but never had any reliability issues and I would have no reservations about shooting it again. Couldn't say how accuracy was on anything but .22 (the .22s shot great out of my 10/22). I have several boxes of .223 left and also some Squires Bingham in a bandoleer with stripper clips stashed for a rainy day.

I bought some in the mid 80's for my first AR and although it looked pretty clean, I had several case splits and a few keyholes in the target. It went boom every time I pulled the trigger...that's all I can say for it. I never bought the stuff again.
