[ARCHIVED THREAD] - 223 ammo

Okay, I just bought my first AR, which is a RRA Elite and I have had a case of Federal XM 193 for about a year now. I am looking to purchase some more ammo for my AR and save the XM193. The guy that sold me the AR said he is getting and trying some American Ammunition Ammo next week. He will sell it for 140$ per 1000 is this good stuff for the range? Or is hte Wolf better? What Wolf ammo is good? I was lookng at Sportsman Guide at getting some Wolf ammo just didn't know which one is best.

i think the consensus here is that you need to stay away from American ammunition(read: it's junk). do a search on it...

ETA: it topped the list in the "#1 ammo you avoid" thread in the archives...
