Hello. I recently purchased 8mm Mauser ammo and it was surplus, theres a green substance around the primer. i was wondering could this be some sort of sealant from repacking it? the brass is dark like its old but the primer is nice and shiny , except on 3-4 rounds out of 22boxes of 15... and same with the bullet its sorta shiny compared to the brass... I was wondering this cause it would be cool if the primers wernt corossive.

If need be i can get pictures.

What was the Country and year of manufacture?
If it was 1953 Yugo, you better believe it is corrosive.
If you don't clean your gun or at least spray it down,  you will have rust in about
1-3 days depending on conditions.

Its 1939 German ammo...

The primers look way more new than 1939.

I live in Nevada so i dont think its that humid this time of year.
