| A couple days ago there was a thread about Guat from AIM that had corroded cases. I can't find that thread now, probably the Admins axed it. I ordered 40 boxes (lots 4 & 5 - 2000) a couple weeks ago and then another full case (52 boxes, lot 2 - 2000) that arrived today. I have checked all 92 boxes and all rnds are bright and shiney just as advertized. Just wanted to make this post in case the other thread might have scared anyone away from AIM's Guat. |
I ordered about the same amount before the price hike...mine were all shiney and bright as well. Too many other irons in the fire now, wish I could order another case or two. If I would, my wife would have all of my $hit in the street when I would get home from work.

The Guat that Aim was selling 6-8 months ago was packaged in Battle Packs, it was older ammo, late 80's thru mid to later '90's. I belive there was some type of chemical reaction either from the plastic used in the bp's or the cardboard and the humidity or who the hell knows for sure. Thing was, it was mostly cosmetic, not that many rds were reporded totally corroded, more like heavily tarnished. Aim did replace really bad lots for a while, then they started opening one battle pack per case and would open a box to check. It was also MUCH cheaper! The current Guat Aim is selling is for the most part pristine ammo. I've recieved headstamped lots 2000 thru 2003. It's beautiful stuff, and really the current price is a fair price, but the price was super right on the earlier bp lots, glad I stocked up when it was really cheap. ![]() |
