Okay, so my order for Wolf .223 from SportsmansGuide has been delayed yet again. This is the third or fourth delay since I placed my original order in April. Interesting, because I placed an order for the Guatemalan ammo from AIM Surplus yesterday, and got the email notifying me it shipped today!!

I guess surplus ammo is better than NO ammo, right?

                         I  will  scrounge  around  gun  shows a nd  private  sales  for  223  of  Any  brand  rather  than  deal  with  SG. Who  neess  this  back  order  crap  when  you c an  get  it  Pronto  somewhere  else?  Thats  the  way  I look  at  it ,  anyway.Besides  ,  i  hear  the  French  are  talking over  SG!

My online order status still says ship date 6/30/06.

Received a snail-mail letter from SG on Tuesday that says Ship Date 6/30/06.

We'll see what tomorrow brings.  Hopefully a shipping confirmation.

Um..... we're not talking about Ammo pricing/shipping from "a few months ago" - - we're talking about the over-burdensome increases in the past month to buy ammo!!!

I don't consider .18/rd expensive for military grade ammo given the current situation with ammo prices...

I just ordered a 1440 case of Guat that is scheduled to be delivered today

With what Wolf is going for now these days I no longer see it as a deal.  Georgia Arms canned heat is a much better option for plinking ammo.

When Wolf was half of brass cased ammo it was a steal but the 4MOA accuracy and the filthy barrel extensions after shooting aren't worth it.

Wolf can still be found for less than $3.50/box and 55gr HP is sub MOA accurate at 100yds.

Guat M193 is not "cheap" at 17c per round, but for NATO-spec ammo you can't beat it (at current pricing).  I haven't seen any M193 spec ammo for less than $200-220 per case.

I give my weapons nothing but the cheapest commercial made ammo I can find I'd shoot lacquered coated steel cased 5.7x28 in my PS90 if they were available

But if Wolf is more than 14c/rd, I'll look elsewhere.
