Troops, In the "Never Ending Quest" to find ammo that is both high quality and priced right, some calibers never come easy. I am sure everyone will agree .45ACP is one of the calibers! I think I have found a great load at an excellent price level. The present .45ACP load of choice for my "range cronies" is MFS of Hungary's BRAND NEW .45 ACP! This ammo is SWEET! The load is comprised of a true copper/lead projectile, with a reloadable brass case, and of course it is boxer primed. This is a different load than previously available from MFS commercially. It is not the "gold colored" ammo that we have seen in the past loadings. I discovered that this ammo is true "L. E. Spec" and is supplied to several of the major law enforcement agencies in New "NATO" Europe. The Hungarian Military also use this as their "Special Weapons Team" .45ACP load. When you look at MFS's web site and see their commercial ammo loads, you will not see this ammo available, as the "tip" configuration in both FMJ (true Mil-Spec round) and HP ( L.E. Spec hollow) is "SPECIAL APPLICATION ONLY". As this is newly available, we have only run through a few thousand rounds in the "indoor range'. Everyone including my cronies from the police department are buying it. It is running well in everything from 1911s, HKs ,and Glocks to my buddy's 1927 Thompson with the ever-present drum!
