[ARCHIVED THREAD] - 30-06 ID help needed

Just bought some 30-06 loaded on Garand clips. Case heads are marked with a 30, 58,and 60A. The ammo seems to have been on the clips a long time. Clips are also marked 58 where the manuf. mark normally is. Any ideas ? Also has some Cavim 7.62 for sale. Buy it???

Looks like "60A" is Tawianese. Don't know about the others.

30 is probably 30 cal. The 58 is probably a year code for 1969. The 58 is the 58th year of the establishment of the Nationalist Party. To convert it to our year format (pre-2000), just add 11.
