Went to my local dealer thinking I was going to trade an old rifle I had for the 13 or so odd boxes of PMC Camo box (marked '5.56/M193' bullet but headstamp is .223) ammo he had on his shelf at $3.25 per box. He gets to digging to check what price he actually paid for the ammo. Lo and behold he actually has two full 1000 round cases of the stuff. I ask him how much and he says $3.25 is as low as he can go. I say, "Okay, but what about with the rifle?" He replies, "Oh, I'll give you $50 for the rifle." Grand total for 1000 rounds of PMC Camo box ammo: $119 and change after taxes. I was pleased. He still has 1000 left so if anyone's in Southern MN and wants to know where it is, send me an IM and I'll fill you in. As a side note or question, he also had PMC in plain brown boxes that was also marked as 5.56. Did PMC make a true M193 spec round? Thanks for reading, Scott |

the PMC Camo box is good stuff, and good find my friend. I'm sure someone else here will have moer specifics on it, but it was pretty much the same as XM193 and Win Q3131A out of my rifle at least. Whenever I see that stuff I buy it. And yes, I do believe that PMC did make M193 at one point. I've seen it at one time or another on strippers in ammo cans marked M193 Ball |
