I just recieved some 308 ammo and I came across some headstamps that I didn't know who made it. The one that really got me was a backwards "k" followed by what looked like a music note and then the year of manufacture in the 70's. Any idea who made it, if it's corrosive, and wheather it's reloadable? Another one was FN and FNM followed by the year of manufacture. Some of these had the year hypenated like 16-73. Any idea who made these and if the ammo is any good? Any problems with firing it in an M1a? |
That's IMI (Israeli) with Hebrew headstamps. IIRC, they switched to English headstamps in 1977. It should be reloadable.
This is Portuguese ammo, and considered very good. It's Berdan-primed, so it's not reloadable. -Troy |
