Got 2000 a couple of weeks ago. Some dents, a lot of uneven bullet seating but nothing looked bad enough to not shoot. Very dirty and some staining, not talking about the annealing discoloration either. IMO, this is certainly not first run ammo so pay accordingly. |

To get the first run ammo, join the Army and go to Iraq.They will issue you all you want. That's why this is sold in big bold letters as "TRAINING USE ONLY" I've shot more than i can count and have never entered any in a beauty contest. If i ever get one with a big dent, i throw it downrange. We are lucky to get anything military at this point. If you want to pay accordingly, buy Wolf. If you do buy USGI ammo, expect some minor issues and throw all 3 of them away. Eric the ammoman |

Ammoman, sounds like you are pissed? I'm just stating my opinion. I think I'm still free to do that on this board. I aggree with you that we are lucky to see any millitary ammo, and as far as I can see we aren't seeing any. IMO, the XM193 & XM855 that is on the market is floor sweepings and production line rejects, certainly not Mil-spec and I don't think it's being advertised as mil-spec, but sometimes what the vendors aren't saying about it is just as important. In my opinion you vendors are gouging us on this stuff. $219/1000 XM855 to me is top shelf pricing for rejects. You can get pissed all you want but that is the way I see it. I've bought from you before and will again if the price is worth the product. Unless of course you don't want my business. |
"TRAINING USE ONLY" Is that some kind of code like, "SLIGHTLY CORROSIVE" What's the REAL story on this ammo? What does "PD" mean? |

One last opinion.Go look up the word "gouged" and then try and figure out what we paid for this ammo and factor in our costs associated with every aspect of running a business and then come see me.You guys that get a paycheck every week and then scream "gouged", just crack me up. BTW when i say guys, it's been 2 or 3 only so far.Most understand they can't get gouged, because they don't have to buy it.It's not a necessity yet. Really, i don't get pissed, i actually laugh.No offense but you don't have a clue. You think Federal sells this to us for $50-1000 rounds and then we sell it for $219 or before december $199. Spend 4 million dollars on inventory and federal just might "agree" to sell it to you wholesale. Don't forget insurance, labor, warehouses, gas, electric, internet fees, debt service, unless your lucky and too many other things to mention. I remember the cries from some that we were charging too much for the SA ammo.(what would you pay now?) Actually the cries from some on every item sold from Wolf to Lake city. I sit back and laugh most the time at the nonsense the internet has created from the benefit of anonymity.I have to love this double edged sword since it has been damn good to me. Buy it or don't.It all sells out in the end and no one distributor can handle all the volume. In fact, we ran ourselves ragged last week and set a new record for packages out the door in a single week.This doesn't mean we don't want your business.It just means do the best for yourself and then don't complain that you got gouged.Unless it's for food, water or gas. I have a real handle on this business after 21 years and i know what i want to do. 9 more years at the most and believe me, i will be doing it. God bless America.What a great place we live in. Yep you are correct Eric, I don't have to buy it and I won't buy anymore. There is a lot of easy pickin' here on the internet and you are here to do the pickin. I bet it has been good to you. If me being anonymous bothers you, my user name here is the same as I used on your web site. So go check me out you should know more about me than I do you. Pull your shorts down Eric, they're a bit tight is seems. I'm not mad cause I got mine from SG for $180 shipped. That seemed fair to me. Sorry I used the term gouged, there's probably a better term that could have used. I got a clue about you now though. |

| funny thing about all this crying about the ammomans prices is as he has simply put...you dont HAVE TO buy from him....lots of people choose to as he gives great customer service and fast shipping...is he the cheapest around...NO. Does that mean anyone has the right to outright call him a thief, unfortunantly with freedom of speach it does, but it still makes the accusser an asshole!! I admit there are alot of times I buy ammo from other sources, thats not to say I havent bought any from him, I have sometimes paid a lil more for ammo to get a little more service. Bottum line, nobody HAS to buy ammo, its not like he is the only grocery store in a small town a 100 miles from civilization and charges an arm and a leg! he sells ammo on the internet! finding elsewhere to buy is a simple click away!! So instead of whinning, just shut yer mouth and look/buy elsewhere! |
You mean it takes money to make money??!?!!!???  +1 for Eric. I've bought a couple of things from Ammoman and I can only say good things about his service. It's just too bad NJ is so far from CA. Sometimes I have to wait FIVE DAYS for my ammo!!! |
