I had bought 4 boxes(2000rd) of XM193PD from SG and then I read the post about screwed up crimps ect.
I sorted one box and found the crimps to be all over the place,I had 500 useable rounds and another 10 that had neck tears,  absolutely no crimp , or deformed bullets.
I felt at the time that I screwed up with this purchase but thought I would try to test them and see how bad they would shoot.
I was shooting my bushmaster 20" 1/9 plain barrel. My jewell trigger was acting up so I used another lower with a factory RR standard trigger which is not the smothest around. If I had my RR NM I would have turned in better results.I shot off a rest with a good scope ,10 shot groups and because of the trigger I threw out one shot and measured 9 shot groups . Not totaly scientific but results should be ballpark.

Q3131A   (lot TK71   headstamp WCC 02)
Avg vel  3099
2.88" 1st group
2.19" 2nd group

Not impressed with Q3131A , shot a second group to double check, still not impressed.
Didn't believe results on XM193PD so as I was leaveing range I shot a second group on the corner
of another guys target. Results looked about the same, didn't bother to walk down and measure.
I did not track ES  but both the XM193PD and the 62gr win (USA223R3 ? I only had one box which I chucked and I am haveing trouble reading my notes) were very uniform which isn't surpriseing when you look at the results but on the other hand the SA was also.
The big question is how this stuff runs, will the box someone else gets from SG next week shoot as well or did I just luck out ? The other question that I can answer is if my results stay the same thru my oher 3 boxes ?
I was going to set this stuff aside for blasting when I didn't care about results,I now am setting it aside
for blasting when I really do care!!
DAMM-should have bought more.

I can't give you any comparisons to go along with this photo as I am new to the AR scene and I have only shot about 200 rounds through my AR.  THIS IMAGE  shows a nice 16 or so round grouping of XM193PD from a recent range outting.   This was at 50 yards.  The upper right flyer was a breathing mishap, not the ammo's fault.

Distance?  Did you notice a difference in the POI between the buggered rounds and the non-buggered?

100 yds
point of impact  was pretty close,62gr slightly high   (3/4")
SA always seems to shoot about  1 1/2 " right for me
The poorer groups seem to be side to side more than stringing up and down. (lot 4,Q3131A,SA,XM193PD buggered)

Is velocity numbers for lot #4 a typo?  Why is it so much higher?  Any idea what the temperature was outside?

Thank you sir for doing these tests.

In my rifle, the lower the velocity, the higher the poi.  Gotta love that winnie 62 grainers.  They've showed promise, accuracy wise, in my rifle also.

Thanx for the report.

Your results with the Win 62 gr are not a fluke. My 1x9 just loves it, my groups have been just as good, and I consider it my "poor man's match round". On my best day with it at 100 yds with a 3-9x40 scope I put two rounds into the bullseye touching each other and the third round doubled on one of the others. Looking thru the spooting scope I thought the third round missed completely, but on checking the target I noticed the larger, slightly misshapen hole. Good stuff.
