50 yards works great.

You might consider setting your BZO at 200 yards for the following reasons:
1.  If you have a 20" barrel you will have fragmentation out to 200 yrds using this ammo.  As long as your target is wider or the same width as your front sight, you can be certain he's within fragmentation range.
2.  Assuming you have a milspec front sight, the width of your front sight will cover a human-sized target at 200 yards.  It is a built-in range-finding tool.  As long as your target is wider or the same width as your front sight, you do not need to worry about holding over.
3.  200 yrd BZO will give you a handy crossover at 50 yds for CQB & target shooting at typical shooting range distance similar to Forest's advice.

All my 1:7 rifles are loadd with Horn 75Gn

I zero the dot sights at 50M

ACOG at 100M

Scopes at 200M

YMMV but this works great for my uses.
