Forgive me if this question has been asked before.  Does anybody have any stats on how .223 penetration against common building materials and automobiles stacks up against pistol calibers such as 9mm and .40 fired from subguns or carbines ?

I know the standard generalizations, but what I am looking for are actual test results.

Thanks for your help.

i remember a article in guns & ammo, they did a penetration tests with common building materials. they tested pistol rounds and 223 rounds, also shotguns rounds. you might be able to find the article in the archives of the magazine. if i remeber correctly the pistol rounds penetrated far more than the 223 rounds. hope this helps.
