I finally got the chance to try out some of the new Swiss ammo I got last week. I took one box of 50 rounds out to the desert with me as well as a bunch of South African, Federal, and a handful of tracers. Shot it in my Colt M4 with standard Colt 14.5" bbl, typically very reliable. In that box of 50 rounds I had 4 (four rounds, 8% of the total!!) misfires. All had deep firing pin strikes without going "bang"!! Every other ammo I have tried in this rifle functions 100%, 92% just doesn't cut it! Can't really comment on accuracy as we had no paper targets with us. I hit an 18" steel plate at 200 yards every time, but that doesn't mean alot. I can hit it about half the time with my .45 (takes about a week for the bullet to get there though!). Has anyone else had similar problems? Next week I'll try a couple different rifles & see what happens. |

I just tried my 93 stuff with the nickel bullets (1000 round can on strippers) last weekend. I shot one box of fifty and had 8 FTFs. I shot it through my Bushy DCM upper. The lower is a Bushy with a Jewell trigger. I have never had a FTF before with that lower. With either my 16" M4 upper or the DCM. I will try it with my Bushy M4 upper and see if it makes a difference. FWIW the primer strikes were deep. Cheers, Chris Edited to say... I tried a second strike on a couple of them, and no dice. I wonder if the reason the 93 ammo was surplused was because of a bad primer lot. |

I have shot close to 500 rounds of the 94 T it is the most reliable and accurate ammo I have bought at this price. $200.00 for 1000 rounds. I shoot a custom AR with a Lothar- Walther barrel 16" and have shot several five shot one hole groups at 100 yards as well as groups of five shots of which could be covered with a dime. Actually I put 4 out of 5 shots into a nickle at 100 yards. All this was with an un-cleaned barrel. |
